Privacy Policy
How The Greenhills Public School collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.
Last updated 4 August 2026. This policy covers the website thegreenhills.in and the forms published on it.
Who this policy is from
The Greenhills Public School, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, Kerala. If you have a question about anything in this policy, or about information you have given us, contact us on +91 80784 00401 or write to admissions@thegreenhills.in.
What we collect, and why
Admission enquiries and applications
When you enquire about admission, request a campus visit, or submit an online application, we collect:
- the student's name, date of birth and gender
- the class and academic year you are applying for, and whether you are considering day or residential schooling
- parent or guardian names, occupation, and where relevant guardian contact details
- your postal address, phone number and email address
- previous school and academic information
- anything else you choose to tell us in the message field
We use this to respond to your enquiry, assess the application, arrange visits, and communicate with you about admission. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Recruitment
When you apply for a position, we collect your name, contact details, qualifications, subject specialisation, experience, current organisation and location, notice period, any cover note, and the résumé you upload.
We use this only to assess your suitability for the role you applied for, and for future openings where your profile may fit.
How uploaded documents are handled
Résumés are not stored on the public website and are not reachable from any public web address. They are held in private cloud storage under a randomly generated identifier, and can only be opened by authorised school staff through a short-lived, signed link generated at the moment of access. Uploads are limited to PDF, DOC and DOCX files.
Service providers
We use third-party infrastructure to run this website. These providers process information on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:
- Google Cloud — hosting for the website and its application server.
- Turso — the managed database that stores enquiries and applications.
- Cloudinary — media and private document storage, including uploaded résumés.
- Google Fonts — typefaces used by the site's design.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as is reasonably required for the purpose it was given, and for as long as any applicable requirement obliges us to retain it. Admission records may be retained where a student joins the school. Recruitment information is kept while a role is being filled and for a reasonable period afterwards in case a similar opening arises.
If you would like your information removed, contact us using the details above and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Security
Submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Access to enquiries, applications and résumés is restricted to authenticated school administrators. Forms are rate-limited and protected against automated submission. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Children's information
Admission forms ask for information about a child. That information should only ever be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. We use it solely for the admission process and for school administration if the child joins.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage is used for small preferences — for example, remembering that you have dismissed an announcement or a pop-up so it is not shown again. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Your rights and how to make a request
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you or your child
- correct anything that is inaccurate
- delete information, where we are not required to keep it
- stop contacting you
Write to admissions@thegreenhills.in for admission matters, or careers@thegreenhills.in for recruitment matters. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
For school review before publication: this policy deliberately states no fixed retention period and makes no specific legal or regulatory claim, because none has been approved. If the school has a defined retention schedule, a grievance officer, or an obligation under a specific statute, those should be added here and this notice removed.
